Testimonials for Pat Murfey

DAVID JENSON:

Pat,

On behalf of Pacific West Bank, I would like to express our sincere appreciation for your representation in the sale of multiple industrial properties in Kansas City.  You demonstrated sound market knowledge and the ability to source multiple buyers.  This was clearly a difficult property but your persistence and efforts resulted in a successful sale.

It is my great pleasure to recommend your services and I look forward to working together in the future.  Should any potential clients have any questions regarding your service, please feel free to have them contact me.

Sincerely,

David Jenson, Vice President, Special Assets

After six months of searching for a suitable branch plant location in the Kansas City area without success, I was growing quite frustrated. It was at that point in my search that I was fortunate enough to notice a parcel of real estate that happened to have Pat Murfey's name and phone number posted on it. Within minutes of placing a call to Pat, I received a call back from him and we established a time and place to meet. While the property I first called about proved not to be what I was looking for, Pat showed me several alternative locations which were suitable for use as a branch location and, within a few days of our first meeting, Berridge had a piece of real estate under contract. Pat was there to lend his expertise to every phase of the real estate transaction. We closed in a timely fashion with very little difficulty. I could not have been happier about meeting Pat Murfey.

Pat's extensive knowledge of the Kansas City market and his broad array of contacts in the business community make every aspect of opening for business in the area far easier than it would otherwise be. Even after the closing, Pat has been there to assist me when needed. He has not "disappeared" after the closing as many real estate agents choose to do. He is clearly an asset to his profession and I would be proud to recommend him to anyone who is in need of a competent, accomplished real estate professional.

Very truly yours,

Berridge Manufacturing Company

I had the pleasure of working with Pat Murfey, CCIM @ Evergreen Real Estate Services on the sale of my building approx. 29,000 s.f. in Kansas City, KS. I was impressed from start to finish. We reached 90% of our target price in a depressed market and closed in 7 months.

Pat began calling on me years before. I should have used him from the start. I chose to go with a large firm instead; 3 different brokers in one year with one non-interested showing, nothing! Pat with usual tenacity and follow-up stayed with me. When my contract ended with the larger firm, I called Pat.

Pat immediately started defining a price with facts and value I could understand. He created a full color listing proposal in binder form to validate listing price. This was important, it showed potential buyers we didn't just pull some listing price from thin air, we could back it up. Pat also suggested some touch-ups for showings and curb appeal, these were easy fixes I had over looked.

I had action in the first few weeks with Pat on board, seemed like we spoke every week about the next best move. Pat was available 24/7, returned calls and e-mails, we spoke nights and weekends as well. Pat was the Champion of getting all others involved off dead center to keep the process moving. Pat told me the truth, held my hand and listened to my rants, each time explaining the process and what to expect and how to handle the multiple issues that arose.

In the end I had an offer on the table and a better counter offer I settled and closed with. In the closing process I needed a commercial real-estate Attorney and Surveyor. Pat referred both, they were; economical, fast and easy to work with.

If you want to move your property call Pat; knows the market, how to market, knows people, knows how to deal with people, everybody knows Pat as well. Pat worked hard and did a great job for me, THANKS PAT!

Sincerely,
Bill Newbanks

RALPH MYERS

We were pleased to work with Pat to find a new location for our expansion to our printing business. He represented us well and offered us a variety of choices. We were up and running in less than 4 months from the time we started the search….to leasing…for tenant improvements…to move in.

In the spring of 2007, the Kansas City, Missouri Parks and Recreation Department was given the task by members of the City Council to find an alternate location for the existing Central Region Maintenance Facility, located at 39th & Gillham. Over the years, the existing facility became functionally obsolete and was not compatible with the surrounding land uses, which is primarily residential.

It was soon decided to enlist the help of a real estate professional. Upon a recommendation of a Parks Board Commissioner, I called Mr. Pat Murfey, CCIM to see if he had any industrial listings that would fit our needs. These needs were very specific, in terms of building and lot size, compatibility with surrounding land uses and proximity to the arterial street system. Pat immediately went to work and searched for available properties in our desired vicinity. After an extensive search, Pat recommended that we look at a 28,000 square foot building on four acres which became available in the West Bottoms on West 9th Street. This building was exactly what we were looking for and through a recommendation from the Board of Parks and Recreation Commissioners and under the guidance of Pat, we proceeded to make an offer ultimately complete the purchase.

During our search, which lasted about two years, Pat worked for us and kept us informed from start to finish. In my opinion, Pat is a talented and knowledgeable real estate professional. Simply said, Pat was a pleasure to work with and I will not hesitate to seek his expertise, energy and professionalism in the future.

Sincerely,

BILL TURNAGE

Pat Murfey was our representaive relocating our company, Century Fire Sprinklers Incorporated, from 1233 Southwest Boulevard, Kansas City, KS 66103 to 1901 Bedford, North Kansas City, MO 64116. The search for a new property began last fall and several properties were considered before selecting our current location. Pat exhibited not only patience, but also determination to follow the path from initial consideration to lease negotiation to the move date.

We are grateful for Pat's counsel during the process of relocation. This has been the only time the company has relocated since the company began in August 1981. This has been a relatively smooth transition and it began with Pat's ability to select the right place and property for the company's future.

Sincerely,

Bill Turnage, Secretary/Treasurer, Century Fire Sprinklers Incorporated

T. NELSON MANN

Integrity, creativity, understanding, persistence, community committment...these are just some of the character traits I was looking for when I began searching for a commercial realtor to help me find a location for my new law practice. After thirty-two years with a 360 attorney law firm with offices in six states, I decided to pursue an "encore career" where I could work with entrepreneurs and privately held growth companies to realize their own aspirations. I needed just the right space.

My wife and I were looking for a building where I could house a professional law office but also provide about 10,000 square feet of warehouse space for our gourmet food and wine gift basket business. Mann Law and Mano's Food & Wine Gifts were very fortunate to meet Pat Murfey in the process of exploring our options. Location and building ownership were essential elements of our ideal site. Pat took the time to really listen to our needs and understand our business.

We could not have found a better commercial realtor. He did not waste our time throwing out proposals that did not suit our needs just for the sake of making a sale. He was very thorough in explaining the assets and drawbacks of the buildings we looked at to make sure we would be pleased with our decision in the future. He put absolutely no pressure on us and found answers to every question we had. He gave us suggestions and issues to consider with regard to the facility requirements for both our businesses.

I am very pleased to commend to you Pat Murfey as an excellent commercial realtor for whom I have the highest regard.

Very truly yours,

T. Nelson Mann

PETER H. BEREN, CBP

Dear Pat:

Thank you for all of your assistance, guidance, and council in our recent purchase of the Stadium Honda property.

Without your due diligence, we would not have been able to sail through the zoning issues, nor mitigate the impact of the environmental issues encountered. Everything was handled promptly and professionally, and without the expense of having lawyers involved through the entire process.

Needless to say, I would highly recommend your service to anyone, especially those of us who are not experienced in commercial real estate transactions.

Sincerely,

Peter H Beren, CBP, President

GREG WALTERS

Dear Pat,

I wanted to take the time to thank you for all of your help in acquiring the property at 12th and Harrison. I can honestly say that had you not been involved in the sale it probably wouldn't have occurred. By staying in touch with your fellow brokers you were able to alert us to an opportunity that would have gone without notice.

Your attention to detail provided in the transaction left no question unanswered. Even to the last minute phone calls to settle minor disputes at the closing were handled professionally and courteously. In short, we were very impressed!

We are very pleased with the purchase and look forward to keeping our business relationship with you and your firm.

Sincerely,

Greg Walters

Dear Pat,

I want to thank you for your excellent service, quite above and beyond, involving our recent purchase of the property on Baltimore Avenue.

The skill and patience you provided, I am certain, made all the difference in the successful conclusion of the acquisition.

Pat, your professionalism in representing, in the discovery, and in this negotiation process, was of the First Order, surpassed only by your support of us in the search process.

CAROL HAYS

Dear Pat:

I wanted to take a few moments to thank you for the extra effort you made in chasing down the phantom SBA payoff and obtaining the release. This, along with all the extra hand holding required to finalize this transaction, was greatly appreciated. I truly believe we would not have achieved finalizing this sale without your efforts.

I sincerely appreciate the title orders you have given us in the past and look forward to working with you again in the future.

Sincerely,

Carol Hayes, Escrow Officer
